Market News!

(click on lady for directions)

The Nagambie Community Market is held on the first Saturday of every month.

Our market has a great mix of quality stalls and is now located on the south side of the lake at Blaney reserve. We think it's the best view in Victoria.

* On the second Sunday of each month you can go to the Avenel produce market and see all the best locally grown veggies.

Community Clubs

OUR IDEALS

“You can change the future of your community or you can sit back and allow whatever happens to happen. You can create your own destiny. However, the cost is high. It means organising a group who are willing to give of their time and energy to make things happen. It means believing in yourself and your organisation. It means putting aside individual differences to work together for the good of the community. It means working together to decide what you want for the future and then working together to make it happen.” You can do it. People are doing it.”

Nagambie Action Group:-

The Nagambie Action Group (NAG) was established in October 2005, made up of members of a voluntary working group who assist with the development on the “Nagambie Action Plan”
Our role is NOT to do all of the work ourselves, but to co-ordinate and work with other community groups, and Council to implement the Community Action Plan.
The first “action plan” was published in Feb 2006 and several of the priorities have been already actioned, or are being dealt with presently.
When the group was established, it was identified that we would be responsible for holding regular meeting to ascertain progress with the plan, informing the wider Nagambie community of what’s happening and maintaining regular and supportive liaison with Strathbogie council.

Nagambie Action Group meeting are held on the last Monday of the month at the Senior Citizens on High Street at 7.00pm. All welcome.

If you want to preserve democracy, participate!
