The Nagambie Lakes Regatta Centre is Victoria's premier water sports facility. The venue offers a 2000m, fully buoyed, National Standard rowing and canoeing course.
The man-made course was created in 1998 and forms part of the beautiful Lake Nagambie waterway which feeds from the majestic Goulburn River system.
With a constant water level, a temperate climate, and a full array of accommodation and catering services the Nagambie Lakes Regatta Centre is positioned as the State's leading training and event facility.
Boat Ramp Fees 2007/2008: Day Permit $8.00 or Annual Permits $60.00 Resident/$100 Non-Resident. Available at the Nagambie Visitor Information Centre all year round, or during the summer season, boat ramp passes can also be purchased at the Boating Safety Office on weekends & public holidays from October till Easter, located at the Regatta Centre, Loddings Lane, Nagambie.

The Nagambie Ski Club

The Nagambie Water Ski Club was formed in 1980 and is located at one of Victoria's premier water ski locations, south of Chinaman's Bridge on the Goulburn River, just upstream from the Nagambie township. The club has plenty to offer skiers of all ages and skill levels. New members are most welcome. The club is primarily social family ski club. Since that time the club has maintained the highest standards of behaviour and safety whilst encouraging the sport within the Nagambie area.
Water skiing enthusiasts enjoy Lake Nagambie's guaranteed summer water level and the opportunities offered on the majestic Goulburn River throughout the year. Public launch facilities, including toilets, are available on McNamara’s Point at the Nagambie Lakes Regatta Centre.

Nagambie Lakes Boat Hire

Just call us for your next holiday or day trip to Nagambie Lakes district. Travel the waterways, go fishing, enjoy the beauty of the majestic Goulburn River. Boat and equipment must be picked up or returned to Nagambie Lakes Boat Hire site at RMB 1660 Wattlevale Road (only 5 minutes from town) unless by other arrangement. Hire rates for casual hire are $25 per hour or $150 per day (plus fuel). Contact us for bookings.

You will find Carp, Murray Cod, Yellowbelly, Red fin, Trout and Silver Perc, Spiny Freshwater Crayfish.
Golden Perch - (Yellowbelly)
Minimum legal size: no minimum
Catch limit: no limit
Redfin - Minimum legal size: no minimum
Catch limit: no limit
Trout -
Minimum legal size: no minimum
Catch limit: 5 per day with no more than 2 being more than 35cm in length
Closed season: from midnight on the Monday of the Queen's Birthday weekend in June to midnight on the Friday before the 1st Saturday in September.
Murray Cod -
Minimum legal size: 50cm
Catch/possession limit: 2
(Open season 1 Dec - 31 Aug)
You may not use any net to take Murray cod except a landing net to assist the capture of a fish taken by rod & line or by hand line.
Spiny Freshwater Crayfish - Minimum legal size: 9cm
Catch/possession limit: 10
You must only take spiny freshwater crayfish with a recreational hoop net or baited line. No more than 5 hoop nets are to be used in the waters.
You may not possess female spiny freshwater crayfish in berry (with eggs) or with young attached, or remove the eggs, spawn, setae or fibres from any female spiny freshwater crayfish.
All inland waterway boating and fishing regulations apply and are enforced in the Goulburn River and Nagambie Lakes system. Speed restrictions are indicated in certain areas and a waterways map is displayed at the boat launching ramp at the Nagambie Lakes Regatta Centre.

Mud ramp facilities - suitable for small hand launched boats/punts are located beside the McNamara's Point Public Boat Ramp as well as at Turner's Island and Major's Creek. Ask at the Visitor Information Centre.
Camping - Majors Creek Reserve, off Wattlevale Rd, Nagambie. This site has no formal amenities. The Nagambie Lakes Leisure Park & Nagambie Caravan Park provide camping facilities with full amenities.
