The best way to explore the regions wine and food is head on a weekend road trip vistiting not only Nagambie lakes but we are close to Heathcote, Bendigo, Strathbogies, Rutherglen, King Valley and Glen Rowan. All regions offering local produce, eateries and wineries.

We recommend you start the day at Mitchelton Winery to browse the art gallery and try some yummy wine. Then head over to Tahbilk Winery for a touch of lunch at the Wetlands cafe then going for a walk around the Wetlands & Wildlife Reserve, finishing off at Plunketts just in time for afternoon tea and one more wine tasting.
All wineries are within 20 minutes drive of each other. If you're not too keen to drive try some of the local tour operators:

Established in 1860 Tahbilk winery is one of Australias most beautiful and historic wineries forming part of Australias First Families of Wine. Twelve Acres Winery
Peter and Jana Prygodicz would like to welcome you to Twelve Acres Winery. Their grapes come in from a small number of grape growers who they have built close relationships with to ensure an excellent quality of grape. Even though they are only 17 kilometres from Nagambie, there is no mains power, so that the winery is run off generators and solar power. They do all the winemaking themselves, controlling all aspects of our production, including talking to the customers at their homely cellar door open every day except Tuesday and Wednesday, with few exceptions.
